Yes, all public employees, elected officials including retirees, your children and grandchildren are eligible for the program. 2. However, you may keep the group life coverage. Please contact MBA once you leave the board and the insurance company will be notified by MBA to send an annual bill to your home address. The premium and face amount will stay the same as you had with the township board. 3. Are there any membership dues to join Minnesota Benefit Association? No, there are no membership dues. All public employees, elected officials including retirees are automatically members of Minnesota Benefit Association.
