If your township is currently participating in the Group Life Program, then we invite you to enroll in the Township Group Disability Insurance Plan. The Township disability plan was specifically designed for township officers. It is endorsed by the Minnesota Association of Townships and administered by MBA.
You should ask yourself a few key questions:
Many of your fellow Townships have already enrolled. The Township Disabililty Plan will deliver $150 per week when you are totally disabled and unable to work. It will also deliver $150 per week for retired officers who are unable to perform their Township duties and their regular daily activities in retirement. Benefits continue for a full year and begin on the 15th day for accidents and the 30th day for sickness.
In order for your Township to be eligible to enroll in this Disability Plan, you must have the Township Group Life Plan. Although Group Life is the most basic fringe benefit coverage, a township can add to its fringe benefits with this Disability Plan for all of its officers.
