Happy New Year from the MBA!

Welcome to the new year Minnesotans!  Can you believe it’s finally here?  January is filled with all kinds of fresh and new opportunities for you to start your new year off right.  January is National Hobby Month, National Book Month, and National Get Organized Month.

Get back into an old hobby that you may have lost track of recently.  Or maybe find a new hobby. Pick up a good book, get back to the gym, and make sure you are well organized for 2019.  If you want to read more about National Hobby Month, check out this webpage we found.

Take some time for yourself and your family.

We hope that your work is no longer in that 4th Quarter rush.  If you have some spare time this January, we implore you to attempt to spend it relaxing, de-stressing from work, and having fun.  What better way to do that by doing some extra travelling, or finding fun activities near you to get out of your normal routine.

Should you feel like exploring this great land of our’s called Minnesota, it has a lot to offer you. Here is a list of 7 Things to do in Minnesota this Winter, which is just the beginning of what you can do.

Are you paying too much for Auto & Home Insurance? Review your options this month.

To go along with National Get Organized Month, maybe it’s time to organize your bills and checkbook.  Maybe you can even earn some discounts on your Home & Auto Insurance. It doesn’t hurt to get a free quote to see if you qualify for the many tiered discounts offered by the MBA. We are here to help you find a local agent to work with.

If you are still hesitant, or new to the idea, please check us out on the MBA Website. It lays out how the discounts work, and the longer you’ve been a public employee in Minnesota, the bigger your discount could be.  Check it out today and see if you can save on those bills.

Medicare

If you are newly turning 65 this year, or have questions now that the annual enrollment period for Medicare has ended, the Minnesota Benefit Association wants to ensure that you can find the right option for you and your lifestyle.

Remember, you can still enroll in a new plan for 2019.

As a reminder, please be aware that Medicare Cost plans have ended in 66 of our 87 counties in 2019 (see Map).

If you, your family, or anyone you know had a Medicare Cost Plan that ended on December 31, 2018, you may contact us with questions about the new plan you have opted into.  Many of the 370,000 individuals impacted by the Cost Plan exit have already made their selection, however there are clients who may have outstanding questions.

Contact our Medicare help line with all Medicare questions, or for information on our in-person meetings, please call 651-358-2990 or send an inquiry to Medicare@LeClairGroup.com for details.
